>>>> A Message from the President
Well, we tried. Because several health and Government agencies are recommending that we return to the practice of social distancing and mask wearing, the WAAL Board has decided to hold our August meeting remotely.
Our speaker will be Amy Adams, an oil painter whose work focuses on light and shadow relationships. Additionally, we will be electing new officers for the 2021-2022 season. The slate includes: Andi Wolfe, President Sylvia Bowers, Secretary Beth Veldey, Treasurer As you can see, we are still seeking someone to serve as our Vice President. This role primarily focuses on arranging our programming. If you are interested in becoming acquainted with other artists and members of the arts community, this is a great opportunity. Please email President@WorthingtonAreaArtLeague.com <mailto:Presidnet@WorthingtonAreaArtLeague.com> if you are interested in becoming Vice President.
We will also discuss our progress in becoming a 501(c)3 organization. This week, the Board met to review the documentation. Our next steps will be to file for incorporation and then present the bylaws to the membership for review and a vote for adoption.
This meeting is an important one! Please plan to attend.
