Carrie Lacey Boerio and Michelle Boerio

Carrie and Michelle Boerio are mother and daughter artists based in Columbus.  Carrie is a self-taught painter who transitioned from a nonprofit career to professional artist in her mid-fifties. Michelle has always pursued art as a career, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master’s degree in museum education. Their styles differ, but both are inspired by nature and exploration. They will share:

• Their creative processes
• How their paths to becoming full-time artists diverged, then came together into a shared studio and collaborative paintings
• Tips for continued learning and finding your voice as an artist
• An invitation to visit their studio in a historic mansion near the museum
