Well, it’s that time again. . . Time for some announcements about what’s happening in and around the art league.
Hope you are all staying safe! But I’m hoping you are getting out and about and enjoying the fall that happening in central Ohio and beyond. A couple places to consider if you need a suggestion: Slate Run Historical Farm or a driving trip up and around the reservoirs that feed us our water (Alum Creek, Hoover, Delaware, and O Shaughnessy). Beautiful colors were out this week. See a couple attached images.
The next announcement will be on or about November 6. Get your announcement ready and send to membership@columbusaudubon.org <mailto:membership@columbusaudubon.org> so they arrive a day before.

>>>> A Note from the President
Thank you to everyone who attended our October Meeting. We recently conducted a survey and shared some of the results of the responses. Based on the feedback we received, we have decided to increase the number of portfolio images individual artists can share from 10 to 25. If you already have a WAAL portfolio, our webmaster Matt Anderle will be contacting you about adding additional images to your gallery.
A large percentage of respondents expressed interest in learning more about local museum and gallery exhibits. Sarah-Jane Workman has been appointed Community Engagement Chair and will be gathering and sharing news about current exhibits through our membership emails and at our monthly meetings.
We also learned that many of our members find critiques to be valuable to their artistic development. Plans are in the works to host monthly critiques where participating artists can share their work and receive feedback. More information is to come.
Our survey is still open if you wish to share your opinion on the future of WAAL. Please visit www.worthingtonareaartleague.com/waal-survey/ <www.worthingtonareaartleague.com/waal-survey/> to answer ten questions on how we are doing and how we provide more opportunities for our members.
#ICYMI “How Did You See That? What’s in the Eye of the Photographically Beholder”. Our own Chuck Zelms shared his thought process and decision making in how he creates his stunning images. In case you missed it, the recording of our October presentation will be available to view on the WAAL website at www.worthingtonareaartleague.com/recorded-meetings/ <www.worthingtonareaartleague.com/recorded-meetings/>
Thank you all for your continued participation.
Katherine N. Crowley, President Worthington Area Art League
