July 8 – Kyla Zoe Rafert – Kyla is a painter whose work as been displayed at the Gormley Gallery. She paints incredibly detailed interior scenes that mix people, animals, replicas of the old masters, and great wallpaper. Kyla’s website <kyla-zoe.com/home.html>
August 12 – Amy Adams – Amy’s oil paintings are inspired by Joaquin Sorolla. She paints light and shadow relationships to tell a story of how scene exists in that one moment. Amy’s website <amyadamsfineart.com/home.html>
September 9 – Annual WAAL members’ show and tell. – If we do this on line, you will be asked to email photos of the pieces you want to show. If we are meeting in person, bring something you have been working on during the past year.
>>>WAAL Virtual Show – June/July We would like to stage another virtual show for WAAL members in the June/July time frame. We are looking for a show chair who wants to learn how to set up the online gallery. Beth Veldey will train him/her on how track the submissions and curate the online show. I have 2 artists tables 42 wide and 31 deep available They are the type with tops that can be slanted or kept flat (similar to architects table) Also there is a smaller table of the same type available. It is 30 wide by 24 deep.
There is additionally a studio soft-light with daylight balanced bulbs.

The month of May was a very exciting month for me. My solo show opened on April 27th at the Dublin Arts Council and it was a great success! I want to thank all of you that had a chance to come and see the show. All your support and encouragement really means a lot to me. The show will be open until June 7th, so for some of you who have not had a chance to see it you still have a few more days to stop by. This month, I also had great news that the Fine Art Connoisseur magazine selected one of my paintings “At The Museum” to be part of the article A Time For Twosomes that was just published in the June 2021 issue. A picture of the painting is shown below.
Lastly, I am very happy and honored to have one of my paintings “Self Portrait with Dumbledore’s Hat” in the Catherine Lorrilard Wolfe Art Club CLWAC 124th Annual Open Juried Exhibition which is taking place at The Salmagundi Club from May 23rd until June 4th.
