Bryn du Art News from Jane Flewellen: So honored and excited that “Ann’s Sunset” (oil on board, 12″x16″) is juried in the 2021 Bryn Du Art Show in Granville, Ohio. You can see the exhibit March 5-27 in person and online. For more details, see janeflewellen.com/bryn-du-art-march-2021/ <janeflewellen.com/bryn-du-art-march-2021/?fbclid=IwAR2apoQDReMUMJ_T3G307dD5ZFmbTHXwmkLFXwEYvQEZ5qwv4zUEHOfgnEU>
GENERAL INFO FOR VISITORS The Art Show will be open to visitors from Friday, 3/5 to Saturday, 3/27. Only 10 visitors will be allowed into the Art Show at a time. Masks, social distancing and self-assessments of symptoms will be required. Staff will regularly disinfect surfaces and spaces and there will be plexiglass partitions surrounding the reception desk. At-risk visitors are welcome to contact the office to schedule private off-hours tours. Anyone unable to follow the above guidelines should visit the show virtually at BrynDu.com <bryndu.com/> where we will have a full, professionally-created video tour of the Art Show.
In-person open hours: Sundays 12-4pm, Mondays closed, Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays 10am-2pm, Thursdays 4-8pm, and Saturdays 10am-5pm.
VIRTUAL PRESENCE In addition to hosting a virtual tour, our website will have a brand new page just for visiting the Art Show online. Because we are not allowed to host any gatherings this year, all of our usual large-group activities will be virtual. But that’s okay! It will allow EVERYONE to experience the show regardless of their situation OR location! Here’s what you’ll find on our website once the show begins:
– Opening Celebration Video to be posted on March 4: This professionally-created Opening Celebration video will be where you initially hear from the juror and learn of this year’s prize-winners! We encourage you to plan to watch this short video.
– Beginning on March 5: The full Art Show tour, public art-making activities (great for all skill levels), instructional children’s art-making videos, a virtual children’s scavenger hunt, YOUR artist demonstrations and studio tours (see more below!), a link to this year’s program, community choice voting and more. Just because we can’t gather together in person doesn’t mean that we can’t immerse our visitors in art and the act of art-making!
