Watercolor Flowers Up Close
Fill your image space with flowers, or one perfect bloom up close. This is a very appealing and popular presentation, with watercolor as our medium of choice. Focusing on value, contrast, and color result in a strong, incisive, and beautiful composition. Background treatment plays a major part in the overall impact.
Demonstration, individual attention, and constructive critique are all part of the day. Bring your favorite blooms, or photos. One hour lunch break. Some painting experience needed.

Big Brush Watercolor
Loosen the reins a bit, and learn to create a bold and powerful painting without overworking the subject. Freeing your creative energy lets you rearrange nature, and not just reproduce it. Big brushes get the painting process started. Bring reference photos and learn how to use them, but NOT just copy them. Landscape is emphasized, but other subjects are possible. Workshop format includes demonstration, individual attention, and critique. One hour lunch break. Some painting experience needed.
